Open Studios 2022

During the Open Studios XL, workspacebrussels invites you to discover the work of nine artists and collectives who have spent the last period working in the studios and ateliers. There are both finished performances and try-outs, and you can participate in workshops or enter the world of an immersive installation.

Central to the program of this edition are two of our own productions, both of which recently premiered. We are delighted to now be able to present them to a Brussels audience. Kim Snauwaert and Anyuta Wiazemsky Snauwaert give you an intimate and playful insight into their marriage, which they see as an artistic life project. And in the performance by Benno Steinegger and Jovial Mbenga, the dialogic creation process literally unfolds before your eyes. We would also like to welcome you to try-outs, installations and workshops by Collectief Elan(d), Anastasia Guevel and Vinny Jones.

The third and last day of the Open Studios coincides with the Day of Dance. On that day we will present a tango workshop with a twist by caterina daniela mora jara, a double bill on identity by Stanley Ollivier and Pierre-Patrice Kasses, and a performative encounter between choreographer Anneleen Keppens and poet Elke de Rijcke.
