Lili Rampre - Bentonnymphen 16:9

Betonnymphen (Concrete nymphs) is a continuation of Lili’s long term research on screaming. Together with Jayson Batut, Matteo De Blasio, Jimena Pérez Salerno and Valerie Wehrens she will further expand the work that has taken many shapes so far, from Screaming solo series to What does the scream know exhibition format, Josephine or how to get away from the table, solo for an actor, as well as Language acupuncture, video format. What all of the mentioned works share in common is Lili’s main interest; voice in its socially and politically encoded spectrum, especially artist’s voice and consequently artistic discourse. In this period of time the group aims to find performative approaches to screaming that go beyond the speech-centred perspective and the sliding scale between in- and articulation as well as simply psychologising the phenomenon.
