Borders in Representation
As a research fellow at The Norwegian Theater Academy in Fredrikstad (Norway), Etienne Guilloteau currently investigates what the borders of representation could be.
Focusing on representation in performance, his research will be divided into two parts: Embodied borders and Borders in space. Embodied borders is a research about the body and the various degrees of presence of performativity in a ‘utopian body’ (1). Borders in space is a reflection and experiment on what borders of representation are in space, architecture and in the practical objects that are part of it to compose the ‘heterotopia’ (2) of the performative space.
