BURN GLASS GATE

BURN GLASS GATE is an act of hallucinatory fiction, a performance full of insidious gestures and tragicomic characters, with a bizarre and perverse sense of play. The research for the project revolves around the characters of the madwoman and the heretic, their subversive relationship to ideas of truth, and the threat they pose to the ideal of a stable society. The performance is constructed around large-scale theatrical images with a self-written script for three characters in an uncanny setting.

BURN GLASS GATE will have its premiere at Theater aan Zee in August 2024. It will later be presented at De Singel (October 2024), CAMPO (spring 2025) and the Beyond the Black Box festival (2025).
