Not Found On is galvanised by the desire to co-create an online ‘space’ to value and share feminist queer arts and social knowledge.
Recognising that LGBTQIA+ ‘spaces’ are often far more than just bars, book clubs, dances, sports teams, magazines or performances. They have also been sites of community building, resistance, political organisation, transformation, healthcare, survival and of knowledge creation. This ‘space’ celebrates knowledge created through subjective lived experience of (some) queer bodies. Asking how we can record and share these in a meaningful way for our communities. What can we learn from each other?
This peer sharing resource is being created with, for and by feminist queer bodies. Putting the subjective experience of the body at the centre of knowledge creation. Working with text, images, audio and video as valid knowledge entries. Embracing that knowledge is not neutral.
Not Found On’s site is based on an open source wiki structure and is in the process of being created over the last 6 months through a series of workshops both via open call and through invitations, in Brussels, Liverpool and Rotterdam. The site is currently the product of 10 workshops, under the influence of 62 bodies, including 1 designer, 1 programmer 1 creative producer and 2 production producers.
This project invites feminist queer bodies to join in building Not Found On.
