During her research residency in workspacebrussels Charlotte Bouckaert wants to perform several experiments in which the static image is given the possibility to be performative. These experiments could result in an installation, video work or performances.
How can a photograph behave as a moving, performative given, rather than as a stationary, passive, representative system? Different tracks will be investigated to find out how to get out of the time and frame dimension of photography. For example, by investigating how a performer could deal with still images and thereby seek the confrontation between what has ever been (photo) and the live event (performance).
