Touch score #3 - ‘Lap Dance with Sculpture’
As part of her choreographic practice exploring the senses, Vera Tussing has chosen another stage to interact with the experience of tactility. In the summer of 2021, she and two collaborators create short interactive tactile meditation that uses spoken word, sound as well as a small object, a hand sculpture to explore ways of how we are with touch.
"What type of movement does your body create when touching the sculpture? What type choreographic state do your hands enter? Is the sculpture a score that guides you, your movements? Or are you more inclined to be with our voices or the soundscape by Anna Muchin? Which hand is more eager to feel what it is touching? Or do you prefer to be with us but at a distance, having a drink, observing as the performance unfolds. These and many more questions will at stake during this collective encounter. We hope to have you sensing along with us soon."
