Five artists working with other than human life forms in their personal practices have started to explore together how to get access to what is beyond human understanding and perception. Their common question is how they can go beyond their anthropocentric perspective when looking at the world but also when developing their individual artistic processes.
For the residency at workspacebrussels, the five artists will use various methodologies in order to become aware of and strengthen their relations with the ecosystems that we are all part of. The method that they will start out with is Dragon Dreaming, an aboriginal dreaming technique for Deeper Listening based on three principles: personal growth, community building and service to the earth. A further crucial question that guides the research process is how they can include the other than humans that they work with in their collective during the residency.
