Birds Cries
How do we give shape and gesture to melodies and tonalities?
In a trio and a solo, choreographers from Tunisia and Egypt explore the intimate relationship between music and dance. For Amina Abouelghar, Houcem Bouakroucha and Feteh Khiari, music is ever-present and deeply tied to their identity. Can movement and music bring us closer to ourselves?

19:45 — Birds Cries
Birds Cries is a dance performance inspired by the sisterly relationship between music and dance. How do we give shape and gesture to certain melodies and tonalities? The work explores the tension between the dancer’s body and the sounds it responds to.
