In a trio and a solo, choreographers from Tunisia and Egypt explore the intimate relationship between music and dance. For Amina Abouelghar, Houcem Bouakroucha and Feteh Khiari, music is ever-present and deeply tied to their identity. Can movement and music bring us closer to ourselves?

In this vibrant trio, two dancers and a musician explore the charged space that emerges when two conflicting emotions come together. Set against the backdrop of social and political stagnation in their home country Tunisia, they give space on stage to grief and sorrow, but also to joy and hope—a clash deeply rooted in their Tunisian identity. An ode to a ‘here and now’ carried by the past and foreshadowing a possible future.
