Public speeches take place at various places where people gather. This time it is not politicians who speak, but citizens. What does this mean for the exercise of democracy and for our way of living together? Questions like 'How do we make decisions?', 'How do we organise ourselves?', 'What do we want to decide together?' form the starting point for sharing stories about the way we see social society.

The Practice of Democracy is a research project on the practice of public speeches. The project asks citizens of all ages, from diverse social and professional backgrounds and from different European cities to give a public speech on democracy, following a score to express their own ideas, questions and concerns.
