Work in Progress: Untitled (briefly here bright)

Welcome to the work-in-progress sharing of kiana rezvani's project Untitled (briefly here bright) on Friday August 21st.

Untitled (briefly here bright) lingers in states of exhaustion, tenderness, and suspended time shaped by living through this moment of prolonged violence and destruction.
Dance here is a letter — that remembers tenderly, patiently, introspectively — unfolding through small gestures, sustained attention, and listening. A choreography that insists on staying close to the nearly imperceptible: a body leaning, a gaze held, a shift of weight, a distant, trembling voice.
Presence is stretched. Time thickens. Without resolution or climax, Untitled (briefly here bright) inhabits the present as a fragile condition. Tenderness becomes a way of attending to collapse, intimacy a form of witnessing. Rather than spectacle, what accumulates in the space is a density— of memory, grief, and the labour of carrying on. What remains after loss is a fragile return to life, to practice.

This choreographic work attends to the interplay of bodies, sound, and architecture, navigating the space between witnessing, memory, and the fragile edge of political imagination.

kiana rezvani is an artist, choreographer and researcher developing choreographic and performative formats that blend dance, text, video, and voice and are presented at theatres, galleries and independent curatorial spaces. Their artistic practice revolves around histories and narratives that are forgotten, untold, concealed and suppressed.
