Bio

Amina Szecsödy (1995) works through text, sound, vocal manipulations and the performing body, interrogating the dynamic range of authorial voices and how these have been mediated across both western and non-western cultures. Recent and selected performances include KW institute for contemporary art (DE), Beursschouwburg (BE), De Brakke Grond (NE), Temple Bar and Gallery (IE), Frankfurter Kunstverein(DE) Malmö Konsthall (SE), Dancehouse (AU) Kunstencentrum KAAP, Kunstencentrum BUDA (BE), Künstlerhaus Mousonturm (DE), Thalia Theater (DE), KØS Museum of art in public spaces (DK), WELD (SE), Inkonst (SE) among others. Amina graduated with a BA in Performing Arts from Malmö Theatre Academy and an MA in Choreography and Performance from Giessen University. In 2025 she concluded the postgraduate studio programme Conditions in London. Amina also frequently works as a performer and collaborator with artists such as Chloe Chignell, Nikima Jagudajev, Hana Miletić, Ula Sickle, Eoghan Ryan, Myriam Lefkowitz and Luis Garay.
