Daniel Barkan
Bio
Daniel Barkan (Israel, 1990) moved to the Netherlands in 2013 to attend ArtEZ, Institute for the Arts, where she received a Bachelor of Dance Degree in 2017. Upon graduating, Daniel had the pleasure to work with a great variety of choreographers in the Netherlands and Belgium. As freelancer, Daniel has performed works for Jan martens (Grip), Nicole Beutler (NB projects), Wubkje Kuindersma (Korzo), Joseph Simon (Dansateliers), Giulio D’Anna, Mats Logen and Karlijn Milder (Akatak), Guillaume Versteeg, Ayelen Parolin, Leslie Mannes, and Julien Carlier. Since 2022 Daniel is developing her own work under Stichting Daniel Barkan. She showed her dance film choreography of altruism as part of Cinedans festival and won best international film at the Melech film festival in Tel Aviv. Today Daniel is a mother of two, busy with the theme of the female body and motherhood in her work.
