Elin Hallqvist
Bio
Elin Hallqvist (she/her) is a dance artist from Lund, Sweden. She completed her bachelor’s degree in dance at ArtEZ University of the Arts (NL) and spent the 2023/24 season with Cullberg in Stockholm (SE). Currently based between Belgium and Sweden, she focuses on interdisciplinary collaboration, working across various artistic forms and with diverse creative partners.
Elin has recently danced in works by Halla Ólafsdóttir, Alma Söderberg, Hooman Sharifi, Alexandra Bachzetsis, and Bobbi Lo Produktion. She is also one of the founding members of the newly established Wolfa Collective—an international, multidisciplinary artist collective based in Antwerp. She performed in their first production Way Away at De Singel in May 2025.
Elin is interested in exploring the potential of being (a body)—or many different bodies at once. She engages with the in-between that fosters encounters among different realities and experiences—merging, expanding, and questioning the perception of what is and what could be. Her creative work is a serious yet spontaneous play in which she likes to shapeshift into otherness: to put things together, undo them, and then put them together again.
