And everything is porous as a bodily crack
Alice Giuliani and Camilla Strandhagen travel through intimate, distorted galaxies to create a utopian dimension where chronic illness is no longer an invisible shadow, but a tangible creature. In Spoonieland, their bodies can melt into hidden ailments, fatigue, chronic pain and panic attacks. On the border between fiction and reality, between the personal and the collective, space is made for the unravelling of secrets, the recognition of pain and the discovery of pleasure and love.
Alice Giuliani and Camilla Strandhagen met during the master's program in choreography at ARBA / ISAC in Brussels. A spoonie-sisterhood was born, focused on exploring their mysterious relationship with chronic illness, their superpowers and the accompanying pitfalls. And everything is porous as a bodily crack is the duo's first collaboration.
